Art is a necessity for survival!!!! Art can be inspired by all things beautiful (love, nature, philosophy, hope….) and can also help us get through parts of life and living that are hard to navigate or understand.

Short Bio / 

Anna Dowsley, recipient of the 2019 Australian Opera Award and Helpmann Award nominee, has performed as principal artist with Opera Australia and as guest artist with leading orchestras, companies and festivals around Australia.

In 2017, Anna made her United Kingdom debut performing the role of Meg Page alongside Sir Bryn Terfel as Falstaff (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic), and sang Lucretia in Sydney Chamber Opera's production of Britten's The Rape of Lucretia.

In 2019, Anna competed as a finalist in the International Singing Competition in Toulouse, and was awarded third prize. During the 2020 world pandemic, Anna explored digital projects, including a staring role in Pinchgut Opera's full-length opera film “A Delicate Fire”.

She has now relocated to Frankfurt, Germany, where she is pursuing her opera career abroad.
