Q:

What sparks creativity for you?

A:

Wonderment + collaborations

Short Bio

I was fortunate to get an early career start just after finishing school by recording the soundtrack to the Australian TV series ‘Against the Wind’. In my career since then I’ve made lots of recordings across many styles of music: most of them can be streamed via the usual digital platforms. I love making recordings: they aren’t ephemeral for one thing; and microphones are very good at capturing the “painting-in-sound” aspect of flute playing.

Some wonderful musicians have said very kind things about me: the great Australian pianist, Roger Woodward, wrote that I “performed with such commitment and mastery that some of the audience could never be certain if it was the works themselves or her performances that left such a profound impression” (sorry composers…).

History has shown us that musicians and other artists need support, and this is certainly true in our current era. Thank you Phoenix.
