Dr. Martin Kay is a saxophonist, clarinetist and composer based in Brisbane. He performs in many ensembles creating original music. Some of these groups are Continuum saxophone quartet, The Fantastic Terrific Munkle, Song Fwaa, and his most recent project, Forage, which explores the intersection of through composition and improvisation, drawing on modern classical forms and individual performer styles.
Martin currently teaches classical saxophone at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. His compositions are published at Reed Music. in 2020, He graduated with Doctor of Musical Arts (composition) from Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
