Can art save us?
I’m not sure about that, but it sure has saved me!
First starting out in Brazil as a popular guitarist versed in MPB, Samba and Bossa Nova styles, Murilo decided to pursue a classical education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2003.
His wide range of musical interests has led him to pursue creative collaborations in a variety of ensembles and musical contexts, Duo Histoire being the longest and most rewarding musical friendship to date.
He has appeared in several festivals around Australia, including Bellingen Music Festival, Glebe Music Festival, Surry Hills Festival and Craven Creek Music Festival with groups such as Legs On The Wall, Taikoz, the Glebe Baroque Ensemble and featured as a soloist with The Metropolitan Orchestra, while as a touring artist Murilo has performed in the US, Brazil, Europe, South Korea and Hong Kong.
