What sparks creativity for you?
Tina Stefanou’s artistic practice moves across voice, sound, performance, movement, moving image and sculpture. She explores how voice can exist within gestures, environments, ideas, relationships and encounters. As a means to seek more inclusive ways and to frame tangled relationships, her artistic practice and research engages in multi-species performance with a family of local others, friends not-yet-made, and poetic meetings of matter.
Her work has been exhibited across Australia and overseas, including Salt Museum in Istanbul, The Ian Potter Museum, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, Blindside Gallery in Melbourne, and the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art. In 2020, she won an Australian Art Music Award for Excellence in Experimental Music with The Music Box Project and is the Schenberg Arts Fellowship Recipient.
