Live at Phoenix presents the debut live recording of Mulalo’s “Holden”, straight from The Nest. Having quickly cemented herself as a Melbourne underground staple, the sharp-tongued rapper returns with a track as iconic the car brand it draws its name from. Accompanied by DJ Baschoe and two dancers, Mulalo cuts through with her whip-smart lyrics over the booming bass. Directed by Murli Dhir, with cinematography from his frequent collaborator Lucca Barone-Peters, this live recording of “Holden” is short but certainly not sweet. Mulalo ain’t playing; she is the one not the two.
