Tokyo’s forward-thinking underground sonic explorers Buffalo Daughter have been making waves since 1993, and now they bring their fusion of punk rock and electronics to Phoenix Central Park for special in-the-round show. Appearing in their original three-piece formation with Yoshinaga on guitar and TB-303, Yumiko Ohno on bass and vintage Mini Moog, moOog Yamamoto on turntables. Their record We Are The Times (2021) is possibly their most dynamic and zany body of work yet, taking cues from German progressive rock and techno pop, with dub, shoegaze and post-rock inflections. This rare Australian performance is not to be missed.
