Merinda Dias-Jayasinha

Melodic Fictions

11 December 2025

Melodic Fictions is a contemporary choral, improvised layered work by creative vocalist Merinda Dias-Jayasinha. For this intimate performance, Melodic Fictions is crafted live by Merinda in collaboration with vocalists Hannah Cameron, Imogen Cygler, Hannah McKittrick, and Ebony Tait - four artists whose unique voices and sensitivity bring new life to this work. Together, they create an expansive vocal landscape that is deeply transportive, gestural, and imaginative.

The recorded work, Melodic Fictions, was inspired by Merinda's experience working on choreographer Siobhan McKenna's 'Rhythmic Fictions' in 2022, working with dancers to discover sounding their own voices, and performances that culminated in a collective sound bath. Merinda recorded five improvised sonic portraits for each dancer - Claire, Emma, Siobhan, Belle, and Rachel. An offering of gratitude; a unique reflection of an ephemeral experience.

This will be the debut live performance of the music from Melodic Fictions.

Please only enter our ballots with your own details - if we catch you using false details, you won’t have any luck. We reserve the right to cancel any tickets we believe are obtained through false information at any time.

  • If you are successful you will receive an email up to ten days prior to the performance with instructions on how to claim your tickets.

This offer is only valid for a limited time. Unclaimed tickets may be forfeited. You will have the option of confirming up to two tickets for a performance.
