Creative polymath and old-world alchemist, Indira Elias is an artist that builds portals to other realms through haunting and ethereal song. Blending cinematic folk-noir with a textural curiosity, rooted in her diverse cultural heritage and raised in the lush hinterlands of Northern NSW, Indira invites listeners into a world of myth, nature, and poetic introspection.  

A 2021 Powerhouse Generation Fellow and 2025 Pathwaves participant, Indira is already making her mark. Her debut album, Songs from a Moon // Songs by the Sun, was met with widespread acclaim, featured on radio (Triple J, 4ZZZ, 2SER…) and earned a nomination for FBi Radio’s SMAC Album of the Year. Known for her soulful, intimate performances with her opulent ensemble, Indira’s live shows are an invitation into her personal universe– epic and moving. She has toured the UK with Swedish artist Alice Boman, supported Dutch composer Joep Beving in Paris, and played across Australia’s East coast. 

In 2023 she released Foshira, an improvised album with jazz-house collective Foshe, and features in further collaborations spanning the globe. After three years in Paris, Indira released an EP Through My Own Eyes in 2025, blending the bucolic folk of her debut album with the eerie grit of the Parisian underground. A playful collection of songs that span folktronica, experimental ambient and sweet, cinematic organ music, unified by Indira’s melodic ear and colourful world building.
