Roger Knox

14 May 2026

Roger Knox, the NAIDOC 2025 Koori King of Country, released his sixth studio album Buluunarbi and The Old North Star to glowing reviews around the world. Its release was a milestone occasion, as Uncle Roger’s first album of original songs. With a tender hand, Roger shares powerful messages of survival, resilience, love, hope, and healing. His songs speak not only to the struggles of growing up on a remote mission, but to the enduring strength of Aboriginal brothers and sisters in all our Communities.

After a huge year of touring and fabulous publicity in 2025, Uncle Roger is readying himself to embrace 2026 and all it may bring. In the mix already are collaborations in the Brisbane studio and travelling out West visiting Community’s across in NSW, whilst writing a bunch of new songs. Sharing hope, laughter and his beautiful honey soaked voice, don’t pass up this opportunity to see Uncle Roger, enjoy his fabulous new album and relish old favourites peppered through his repertoire.

Buluunarbi & The Old North Star feels like a culmination. It’s not just another album. It’s a map of memory and music, showing where Knox has been and where he’s taking us. It’s his voice... gravelly and golden as ever... telling us about real people and real places.” - Odyssey Magazine, USA

“Roger Knox's voice carries the weight of archaeology—layers of sediment, weathered by decades of singing stories that demand to be heard. On his first collection of original compositions, the Gomeroi Elder delivers each song with the unhurried authority of someone who has spent a lifetime earning the right to speak slowly and be heard completely.” -Indie Dock Music, UK
