A tapestry of electro-pop, R&B, and 2-step sensibility have shaped beloved Melbourne cousins Kllo since their debut EP ‘Cusp’, in 2014. Fuelled by the ubiquitous lead single ‘Make Me Wonder’, followed by the sweeping sonics of their second EP offering Well Worn in 2015, Kllo have been embraced at home and abroad, with millions of streams across their discography and support from BBC Radio 1, NPR, The Lot, New York Times, GQ and more.

2017 saw the release of the duo’s debut album Backwater, followed by sold-out shows across the US, Asia, Europe and the UK, as well as global support duties for RUFUS DU SOL, Nao, Flight Facilities, Bonobo and Glass Animals. No stranger to festival stages, Kllo have also appeared on line-ups including Lightning In A Bottle, Primavera Sound, and Laneway Festival, building a dedicated global fanbase and widespread praise.

Accolades from their home country have been equally feverish, with multiple triple j radio adds and an Australian Music Prize shortlist across their sophomore album Maybe We Could in 2020. Kllo have since made their mark on popular culture, with syncs across hit television shows such as HBO’s Industry and Gossip Girl, revered remixes from Jaques Greene, DJ Boring and Mall Grab – the latter remix of ‘Walls To Build’ now a cult fan favourite – as well as their track ‘Bolide’ being sampled on $uicideboy$’ hit single, ‘1000 Blunts’.

The lush universe of Kllo – utterly hypnotic, sample-driven alt-pop with an electronica edge – is the design of lead vocalist Chloe Kae, and multi-instrumentalist producer Simon Lam. Quietly honing their new music, the duo’s upcoming body of work is their best material yet – and will mark their long-awaited return later this year.
