Amber Glynn has been a finalist in international piano competitions in Paris, Boston and St Petersburg. She has given solo recitals in Sydney, London, Paris and Munich including in venues such as the Theatre du Chatelet, Salle Gaveau and the Gasteig. Her repertoire is mainly solo piano, ranging from Baroque through to 20th century. Highlights include the Sergei Rachmaninoff transcription of Felix Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, the complete Frédéric Chopin Waltzes and Mikhail Pletnev’s transcription of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. She has received acclaim for her interpretation of the works of Olivier Messiaen and Bach.

She has trained in Germany, England and Australia, including with Ruth Harte, Piers Lane, Phillip Shovk, Clem Leske and Daniel Herscovitch and attended masterclasses in England and France. Amber’s current focus is on recording, with a selection of the Chopin Waltzes already available on Spotify and Apple Classical, released under the Elkwood label.

This performance will take place at The Church.

The Church is a meticulously restored 19th-century Gothic church in Alexandria, NSW owned by Judith Neilson AM that houses rehearsals and work development for musicians by invitation.
