Live at The Church
15 August 2026
Haneulle Lovell and Reuben Tsang have worked together in many diverse settings since beginning their tertiary studies in 2022. First collaborating as first-year students at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, they have since worked together on multiple occasions as a duo, winning the Basil Jones Sonata Prize in 2024 for their performance of Prokofiev Sonata No.1 in F Minor for Violin and Piano, as well as curating and performing lunchtime concerts. They have also appeared as part of the Orleigh Quartet, a group which travelled to Montreal for the Musical Chairs Chamber Festival in 2024 and received mentorship from members of the Takacs Quartet and Cuarteto Quiroga. The duo also performed as Fellows at the inaugural Megalong Music Festival and enjoyed collaborating with esteemed musicians including Kristian Winther and Lisa Grosman. Reuben and Haneulle’s contributions to the Queensland Conservatorium community through their passion for chamber music was recognised in 2024 as they were named co-recipients of the Conservatorium Medal. They are excited to be touring Australia in 2026 to share their music-making with audiences in Adelaide, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney.
About Hanuelle Lovell
Haneulle Lovell is a violinist and musical collaborator whose sensitive and intuitive touch has garnered her a diverse performance portfolio as an emerging Australian performer. Graduating with a First-Class Honours degree from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in 2025, Haneulle has studied with Associate Professor Michele Walsh and received valuable chamber music mentoring during her degree from members of internationally renowned ensembles such as the Australian String Quartet and the LA Philharmonic Wind Quintet.
An active orchestral musician, she has represented Australia twice in Europe, with orchestras including the Australian Youth Orchestra (2025), performing in world-class halls such as the Wiener Musikverein and the Royal Concertgebouw. Having successfully completed the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Academy in 2024, Haneulle also appears regularly with the orchestra as a casual violinist and looks forward to being on contract again in 2026. Haneulle brings her love and commitment for musical togetherness and community into many facets of her playing career, and these values have recently been acknowledged through the generous award of the Richard Pollett Memorial Award (2025).
