About Amelia Bland
Mezzo-soprano Amelia Bland holds a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Originally from Orange, NSW, she was a recipient of Opera Australia’s Regional Vocal Scholarship during her studies. She is excited to return to Pacific Opera as a Young Artist in 2026. Amelia has performed operatic roles including Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro), Gertrude (Hänsel and Gretel), Didymus (Theodora), and Iris (Semele). Her concert repertoire includes Messiah, Stabat Mater, Elijah, and Bach’s Easter Oratorio BWV 249.

About Angelique Tot
Angelique Tot is a mezzo-soprano and graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Master of Performance (Opera). Her repertoire spans 20+ operatic roles across seven languages, including the title role in Bizet’s Carmen, Isabella in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri, Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Ruggiero (Alcina), and Fenena (Nabucco). She has appeared with Victorian Opera, The Co-Operative, TOSC, Lyster Opera, and the Australian Contemporary Opera Company, where she received the Henkell Fellowship. In 2025 she won the Shoalhaven Major Aria Prize. In early 2026 she joined Pacific Opera’s Young Artist cohort and will sing Flosshilde in Das Rheingold (Shaumet Music).

About Beth Redwood
Beth Redwood is an Australian soprano and WAAPA Classical Voice graduate. Her operatic highlights include Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Susanna and Contessa (Le Nozze di Figaro), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte). Last year, Beth travelled to New York to perform Mozart’s Requiem in Carnegie Hall and spent the summer in Germany, working with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. Beth has been awarded Most Outstanding Senior Vocalist (North of Perth Music Festival) and Overall Best Vocalist (Fremantle Eisteddfod) and recently has been a Young Artist with MetSO and Opera Lovers WA, and Assistant Conductor with Perth Symphonic Chorus.

About Brea Holland
Brea Holland is an Australian soprano known for her strong stage presence, clarity of storytelling, and expressive physicality. She holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Voice) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studied under Dr Narelle Yeo, and has undertaken international operatic study. Her artistic development has also been guided by Cheryl Barker, whose influence continues to inform her musical and dramatic approach. Brea’s work is grounded in character-driven performance, with a focus on integrating voice, movement, and intention. She is particularly drawn to repertoire that allows for theatrical precision and immediacy, and has performed roles such as Musetta (La bohème) and Columbina (Arlecchino, Busoni). Across these experiences, she has developed a performance style that values musical integrity while remaining responsive, physical, and emotionally direct.

Starting her second year with Pacific Opera Studio, Brea is excited to keep pushing herself and growing as an artist.


About Christina Pilgrim
Christina Pilgrim is a young Soprano who graduated from the Australian National University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Music (Performance) and a Bachelor of European Studies. With a

background in European cultural and musicological history, she has conducted projects on classical vocal music from the early 1600s to today.

 As a classical singer herself, Christina featured as a guest artist in Canberra Opera’s Recital Series no.2 (2018) as well as in Luminescence Chamber Singer’s annual Christmas event (2023) among other notable performances. In 2024 and 2025, she worked with Pacific Opera Studios, paying roles including Papagena and Servillia, and looks forward to her future as a young Australian classical singer.


About Christopher Whalley
Christopher Whalley is an emerging Sydney-based professional tenor. Originally from the Tamworth region of New South Wales, he moved to Sydney to study classical singing at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a Bachelor of Music Performance and a Master of Music Studies (Opera Performance) under the guidance of Dr Simon Lobelson. Chris has developed a strong technical foundation and a voice capable of both lyrical lightness and dramatic weight. Recent highlights include performing John Styx and Mars in Orpheus in the Underworld. He is committed to continued vocal growth and meaningful engagement with audiences on and off the stage.

About James Pinneri 
James Pinneri is a classically trained baritone from Perth, Western Australia. He completed a Cert 4 in Music Theatre (2017) and a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) at WAAPA in 2022. Recent operatic roles include Leporello (Don Giovanni), Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Ben (The Telephone), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte) with West Australian Opera, Opus Wa and Freeze Frame Opera. James has performed with the Perth Symphonic Chorus and is a member of the WA Opera Chorus. He is a Bloomhouse Projects Emerging Artist (2024/25) and recipient of multiple vocal awards. He was also the Loz Copley Scholar for Pacific Opera Studio in 2025.

About Jamie-Lee Xu
Jamie-Lee Xu is a pianist and holds a Master of Music Studies (Performance) degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Music (Performance). She was awarded the Keith and Eileen Ong Prize for Piano on entry to her Master’s degree, the John and Dorothy Vimpani Pianoforte Fund scholarship on entry to the Conservatorium in 2018, as well as the Molly Neale Memorial Award in 2021 and 2022. 

In 2023, Jamie-Lee was awarded the George and Margaret Henderson Scholarship, allowing her to attend a summer school program at the Collaborative Piano Institute in the US. She had successes in 2022, winning both the David Miller Award and the Sydney International Song Prize. Jamie-Lee has also worked and performed with Rockdale Opera Company from 2023-2025, and was a vocal coach for the Cuskelly School of Music in Brisbane.

About Louis Vinciguerra
Louis Vinciguerra originally from England moved to Australia in 2008 where he soon discovered his passion for performing. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in 2021 with a Diploma of Musical Theatre.

In 2023 Louis had his professional musical theatre debut alongside Philip Quast AM, Musical directed by Anne-Maree McDonald singing Lily's Eyes in ‘The Road I Took’ at the Ensemble Theatre. Later in 2023 Louis performed in Sweeney Todd the demon barber of Fleet Street at the Sydney Opera House. He was Tenor 1 and later went on to perform the iconic role Tobias Ragg as a cover.  

From 2024 onwards Louis is focusing on his studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the Guidance of Dr Simon Lobelson, where he is honing his classical singing with the ambition of pursuing a professional operatic career.

About Patricia Tuner
Australian-born soprano Patricia Tuner has pursued classical voice for fourteen years. 

In 2025 she was featured as a Young Artist with Pacific Opera Studio, performing Dalila in Handel’s Samson. She recently understudied Blanche de la Force in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, also appearing as Sœur Anne de la Croix. Patricia has performed for successive years at the Bastille Day celebrations for the La Perouse Museum, French Consul General and French Embassy. A regular performer with Rockdale Opera Company, her credits include Suor Angelica, Il Campanello, The Gondoliers, and their 70th Anniversary Concert. She was a three-year scholarship recipient at St Anne’s Shrine, Bondi, and was a featured soloist in works by Charpentier and Schubert.

About Zachary Ahrens
Zachary Ahrens is a classically trained baritone who is in his fourth year of an undergraduate Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) from the Sydney Conservatorium under the tutelage of Maree Ryan AM during his time he has been honoured to be the recipient of several awards during her studies there including the PATIM Fund Scholarship.

Zachary had his debut as Wozzeck's son in Wozzeck (Opera Australia) in 2019, as well as performing in multiple musical theatre productions with NIDA, he performed in the Pacific Opera Studio Ensemble in 2025, as well as Sarastro in their 2025 pocket opera production of Die Zauberflöte.

This performance will take place at The Church.

The Church is a meticulously restored 19th-century Gothic church in Alexandria, NSW owned by Judith Neilson AM that houses rehearsals and work development for musicians by invitation.

  • All performances at The Church are free.

  • The Church is an intimate performance space and tickets are limited. Due to high demand, tickets will be issued at random to those who have entered each ticket ballot. Each performance has a separate ballot, so if you would like to attend multiple performances, you will need to enter each ballot separately.

    We advise you to listen to the artist you are entering the ballot for, and consider which shows you’d really like to attend. Entering more ballots does not increase your chances of attending.

    Please only enter our ballots with your own details - if we catch you using false details, you won’t have any luck. We reserve the right to cancel any tickets we believe are obtained through false information at any time.
