Arushi Jain — "My People Have Deep Roots"

Acclaimed modular synthesist, singer and producer Arushi Jain performs "My People Have Deep Roots", with striking cinematic direction from Sydney-based Korean-Australian writer and director Hyun Lee.

Jain’s compositions are inspired by Hindustani classical ragas, explored in an aesthetic that is contemporary and current. Her music is a unique reinterpretation of her two contrasting worlds colliding. “My People Have Deep Roots” is taken from her most recent album ‘Under the Lilac Sky’, released via Leaving Records in July 2021, which was named The Guardian’s Global Album of the month.
