Naarm-based, Papua New Guinean-born artist Kaiit performs “Lemon Squeezy”, directed by Khushi Patil, the filmmaker, director and photographer behind Girls That Mosh.

Moving between jazz, neo-soul and hip-hop, Kaiit’s latest single plays with the notion of ease. Beneath its playful surface, “Lemon Squeezy” reflects on the distance between what appears effortless and what it demands of us. With a knowing nod to the idea that some pursuits are painless, Kaiit turns a familiar phrase into a reflection on perception, expectation and the assumptions we make about one another.
