A live reinvention of Owusu’s standout debut record, an unforgettable secret performance at Phoenix — that much is clear. But perhaps this one-off collaboration with Mike Nock wasn’t unexpected after all. In this mini-doc, Kofi (Genesis) reminds us that jazz and hip-hop share a common DNA: "It comes from the same kind of struggles, it’s all cut from the same cloth.
