Way Dynamic - "I Was The Dancer" | Live at Phoenix

Way Dynamic performs “I Was The Dancer" for Live at Phoenix, directed by emerging Meanjin filmmaker Felix Lovell – a promising new voice in Australian filmmaking.

Filmed in a single uninterrupted take from the furthest point of the room and shot on radiant 16mm, the session embraces a simple, considered approach that unfolds naturally.

Featured on Young’s third Way Dynamic album, ‘Massive Shoe’, “I Was The Dancer” is one of the record’s emotional centrepieces. Patient and unassuming, the film reflects the understated beauty at the heart of the song, offering an intimate portrait of one of the record’s standout moments.
